there are many reasons for him. politics is complex issue. financial rescue may be one of many reasons. but not the prime reason. dictators always suffer from insecurity. he would do anything to maintain his dictatorship. this test would be part of his bigger game of power. power is power. imagine him without power. it would be reckless

I think Kim is doing this because he is crazy and I mean that , i don't think any one in there right mind would go after the big world powers, that is why it is so scary that he believes he can change what is.
