Look yeah concentrate hard and think you can do it
I was in the same postion like you, this year in january and believe it or not I passed this year is well, and I feel great
I too when starting was thinking oh no I cant do this , I cant handle this situation , but practice , practice, practice makes alot of perfect, I can drive on my own with my family, and Im a great driver, I never in my life could imagined I would drive one day, and I did, you too can do it , if you believe in yourself, trust me I was no where near ready but I had to learn how to drive, and I know how too, even I think wow , I know the driving dont give up , take more and more practice the car will then be in your hand , they was many thing when I was learning in the same like you I was in a roundabout situation and didnt look ahead LOL
but I've passed, I can unsupvised on the road , and I do , and I think back, that I was the person scared but I did it, its a whole new thing you just have to get used to it, practice it, then when your ready for that test day , that will be the day to put that practice to the real driving and when you have passed you pass,
I was even thinking ok ,so I have passed but can I drive, well of I can I know the driving thats why I pass, so you take my advice and I can bet that if you stay and practice and concentrate, you 'll know the driving in no time mate , good luck to you ,you can do it

Your first lesson shouldn't have been in the dark, what driving instructor takes a first pupil in the dark. Change instructors for one, and 2nd don't give up. You will regret not learning. Take my advice, I have been driving 16 years, and I can get in my car, and go, just when I feel like it. I've never had an accident [touch wood]. And if I feel down or want to be on my own, I go and find a nice quiet place away from anybody. GO FOR IT GAL..

All you need to do is to get your confidence up. Have a few more night time lessons, you willhave to drive at night sometime so you might as well do it with a driving instuctor in the car with you.
I actually found that I enjoyed driving at night better than driving through the day, were we live there was less traffic.
Don't get put off by one incident, keep at it and you will do fine.

Don't push yourself into learning if you're not ready, but if you generally enjoy it you should carry on.
You will get better and better and soon it will come so easily that you will wonder why you were asking this question. Remember there is no rush to pass your test, and once you do it is something you will have forever...and is very useful!
Have a think, give it a break for a while if you would feel better.
Good Luck!

Please don't give up - once qualified its an asset for most of your life. Getting stuck just reinforces the fact that you are a Learner and that with more and more practice you will overcome the challenges and then you'll look back and have a good old giggle at some of the things that you've done in the learning process.
Good Luck.

It's not uncommon to have 'bad days' when learning to drive, but it's best to try and forget about them, move on, and carry on practicing.
You've been at it for some time, and you say you love driving. Would you really want to quit now? If you stick at it, you'll get to the point where you're ready to take your test.
And why not get it done now, while you're pretty much getting into the swing of it? And let's face it, what sane person wants to use the buses?

Try to find a cheap chaffeur.
I've been driving for years and frankly I'm tired of it. Besides, you can get more done if you're in the back. Phone calls, e-mails, video games, books(if anybody reads anymore), enjoy the scenery. Plus you look like a celebrity when you roll up. Peace out

you are a learner and you learn from your mistakes never give up, you will develop your confidence over time. Dont let this trouble you because the more you think about it the more you will talk yourself out of continuing, just get ready for your next lesson and go for it.
Good Luck

No - don't give up! It took me three goes to pass my driving test here in the UK - I made all sorts of embarassing mistakes in the first two tests ( such as the examiner having to grab the wheel to stop me crashing into a line of parked cars! ) , but I did pass eventually, and have since had many years of trouble free driving.
