im in a 3 year relationship that is going down the drain.we fight constintly and im sick of it.i told him today i want out and he laugphed at me like he didnt care i know we both need space.but how can i get him to know im serious.

Not enough info...do you live together? If so move out. If you don't stop taking his calls...if he doesn't take you seriously now he never will and it'll only go further down hill with you in a heap of misery.

Hey sorry to hear your turmoil, but you need to understand that breaking up with someone is the time for you to be honest and put everything on the table so this guy can actualy move on from you. Breaking up isnt about saying what the other person wants to hear just so you dont have to deal with this persons emotional trauma afterwards, dont be that person, tell him the truth, break ups are all about hurting but he needs to know so he can get some closure.How would you feel if you were in his place? He feels that he needs to progress further in life and likes you but doesnt want a relationship but tells you oh I dont know whats going on I just cant have a girl friend right now. Youd feel betrayed right? And feel that as a human being you deserve some honesty so that you can moveon with your life right?

I guess I would wonder if you live together? If not then just ignore him for a few days... otherwise if yes sleep on the couch a few nights....Also if fighting a lot... try to figure out what you fight about and see if there is anything you both can do to change to make that no longer a fight.

Make him give you space; don't talk to him, reject his calls, if he keeps calling answer and tell him you are on a break and you have to go. I've learned its best not to tell them about any other guys. The best thing to do is back off, he will get the point.

grl i been thourgh the same thing frist try asking him dose he really think the relship can go on then if he says idk or ehh then u try friends trying to ask him with getting the turth out then once u find out the dirt go in and just be storng dont get hurt like i did good luck email if u wanna be friends

Just leave him. If he laughs at you when you try to end it, there is something really wrong there. Your relationship has run it's course. Pack up and move out.
