Yes it's wrong. Why do you think yahoo installed it? But don't feel bad about it. There are a lot of people not using it. I must admit it kind of irritates me when I have to sometimes figure out what people are trying to write. I'm so anal about it until sometimes I go to a plain word document just to make sure that not only the spelling is correct but I also use the dictionary portion of it to make sure that I'm using the right words for the sentences. So just try to make a habit of using the spell check. It will only help you in the long run.

Of course it isn't wrong not to.
BUT you have to think about the people trying to give you answers. If you want more and better answers to a question, it is better if people can understand the question in the first place.
Speaking personally, I am much more likely to give a helpful answer to someone who will take the time to put in a few more keystrokes to spell words like you, your, ate, for, laugh, out, and loud. Instead of just putting u, ur, 8, 4, l, o, and l respectively.

It's ok not to use spell check or punctuation. After all, this is not a grammar test. What matters the most is content.

Yes.
Proper spelling and punctuation are a sign of intelligence and should be used if you want people to take you seriously. On this site and elsewhere.

If you are asking a very high and mighty, I'm so much smarter than all of you, this is my opinion and worship me kind of question, it shows your character is worth nil if you can't even spell whatever it is you're insulting, but in general and overall, no, who cares? But don't let that laziness or unproper style fall over into your professional or educational endeavors.

It makes your questions hard to read and understand. Being literate doesn't take much effort. Why not do it? It certainly makes you look better than some semiliterate scrawlings.

as long as your thoughts are coherent and your posts are readable, you're alright. grammar, on the other hand should be important. you shouldn't have to spell check your thoughts!
