Why not make your own costume? Go to Salvation Army and pick out some stuff you can use for a theme (Eighties rocker, Geek, ninja, whatever) and take it home and alter it. It's cheap and afterwards you have that nice DIY feeling.

Try 3wishes.com, They have a lot of girl costumes that are super cute (for adults), also try Buycostumes.com They have a variety of costumes for all age groups. You cant go wrong with a witch, but that's the OG costume huh? and falls into that goth category. Any who the sites will give you bunch of ideas. Good luck!

go as your favorite TV show character. My girlfriend is obsessed with Desperate Housewives and she and three other girls are going to dress up as them on halloween. My girlfriend's being Eva Longoria's character so she's wearing a tank top, miniskirt, and high-heels...although I think heels might be hard to walk in if you decided to go trick-or-treeting.
