Early in christian history it was blasphemy to believe that the earth revolved around the sun. So its my guess that continued scientific research would disprove some of the christian beliefs and they know that, so they oppose it.

Stop living in the past! Since the renaissance, it has been the Christian cultures coming up with all the advances, and the Muslims regressing into the dark ages.
Can anyone think of any important inventions created in the last 100 years, from a Muslim country? Yet, think about how many are easily named from the West. Why there's the computer, light bulb, microprocessor, polio vaccine, velcro, teflon, the transistor, almost every electrical appliance imaginable, etc.

The risk of the truth coming out is to great for them to take a chance with .Just think no records of John the baptist or Jesus or any of the people the bible mentions .Now they do put them in all the places mentioned in the news of the times .Never is a record found of anyone mentioned in the bible that was not a popular person of the day .They never had any interactions with the folks mentioned in the bible .
Nice story if you can get people to believe it though .
Not taking another mans property or wife ,not stealing or telling untruths , no killing or creating other gods .
All sounds great to me .Just a little hard to prove in the light of science and other records of the past .
Until archaeologists dug up the first skeleton of a dinosaur no one had heard of them .In fact of all the great mysterious wonders we have discovered not one mention of them in the bible .Flying horses yes airplanes no .Lots of killing and ground shaking and the sun disappearing but no earthquakes or eclipses mentioned for many centuries .God made the sun go away and the ground shake and the bugs swarm .
Well if indeed he did create all life on planet earth then in our dna is our programing .Do we choose our own path or is it guided by pre-programing in our minds .It takes a huge leap of something people call faith in order to beleive and then with it comes much harm and trouble to those who do not believe like you do .
All men should be free to live a life free from others interferance and control .Nothing should belong to anyone but be for the good of all people .Hording creates greed and greed creates armys .lets try to be with Gods army only which God do we follow .History dictates the one with the most survivours to pass it along .
Hope everyone gets behind the right religion cause you must die proclaiming your faith for to deny it is surely the way to hell .

The resistance against stem research, which I think you are referring to, isn't biblical in nature. There is too many ways for the medical practice to go awry. Not so much the doctors involved, but the suppliers of the material. Black-market suppliers are like drug dealers. They will go to great lengths to make a buck.

certainly your incorrect approximately that, a number of Jesus' disciples have been medical doctors, some have been criminal experts etc. Solomon (no longer a disciple) had extra understanding than any guy who ever lived and he knew the human physique. clinical study became ans is completed via many Christians
