I was having to do some hardware work on my Toshiba laptop (I believe it's a 1400 series) and found two broken/disconnected wires. They are white and black and it looks like they run from the monitor to the bottom side of the motherboard. The white wire has some sort of round metal connector on it, the black one looks like it stripped off. I can't find anywhere on the top or bottom of the motherboard where it looks like these came from. When I try and restart the computer, it says there is a CMOS error and to press F1 to continue. Is it safe for me to do this and see what the error is? Thanks!
