The sacrifice made by these valiant sons of India cannot be belittled by any account. Gandhi had great regard and respect for these brave sons of India. That does not mean that Gandhi has been overrated. There are two reasons for calling Gandhi as the father of the nation. Firstly, he was the one survived the independence. Had all these leaders lived, by any chance, to see the country getting freedom, people would still be remembering them more than any body else. Secondly, Gandhi's struggle was unique in itself in so many ways. Fighting a liberation struggle is what every subjugated nation does in the face of oppression. The uniqueness of Gandhi lies in converting the freedom struggle into a mass movement, without any scope for physical violence against the oppressors.
All said and done, I do not understand the tendency to take sides with the dead and past leaders as to who had done more for the people. If according to them some leader has done more sacrifice than others, the other leaders are not to be painted as villains.

Bhagat shngh ,Raj guru and shukdev died for the freedo of the country like many ohters knownand even unknown. Nobody woul d say that their sacrifices were any less than anybody else . We will have to remember and honour millions in this respect.
why gandhi is remembered more by the world than the Indians (THE WE ) is that he is the only one in the entire world of this UNIVERSE who proved that non-violence and peaceful
resistence is much more powerful than any great powerful Empire that ruled the enitre world .He was the only one in the universe till today to have poved it . So the entire intelligent world has understood the power of lovnon-violence and peace .though not the Inidians .
. He was the only who could tell the British Emperor that he would attend the roundtable conference with the Emperor in his native apparel of loin cloth and would not be bound by the rules and dress regulations of the British Government to meet the king ........He was the only one IN THE BRITISH HISTORY ITSELF to lay down his own dress regulation to meet the KING of Britain.
Violent methods for achieving anything have more often failed and have never been lasting in thier effects even where they have succeeded .
There are umpteen number of instances and precedents of sacrifices through violent actions all over the world ; but there is the only one instance of a non-violent and peaceful resistence defeating a powerful empire .
It is unfortunate that the Inidans do not understand it even today so much as they do not understand the depth and scientific basis of their own culture .
It is because one who claimbs a hill always looks to the top only till he reaches the top and the one who has reached the top always looks down to the foot only.!We are looking down and will down soon.!

Dear Ganda Sing do not forget that the Congress in 1920s was calling these freedom fighters as terrorist and extremists. How can you expect its present leadership to sing praise for them. As far as BJP is concerned if it copy cats the congress, it would not be good either for this country or BJP. A strong BJP and equally strong Congress is required for India.

They are not barristers from London. They are not recognised by the British and the US. Our leaders need recognition from their masters who are protecting their wealth. Nothing will change in this millennium.
