I don't want them to shrink or fade because they are perfect. Also, will the color transfer even onto dark colors making the black shirts look blootchy? Should I wash them on their own? Tip please!

Yes, inside out with cold water (if you wash them inside out then the wash of the jean isn't discolored with multiple washes) also buy some of the newer detergent by Tide made for dark colors. After you wash them by themselves once, you should be safe to wash them with other dark clothing later. But the tide is awesome because it keeps the darks from fading. Use it with all black and navy clothing! Oh, and don't dry in the dryer...only put in for 2-3 minutes to knock out the wrinkles before you wear them.

Cold water on their own, add a cup of vinegar to the water to set the color...or wash other blue jeans with it, at least the color will go from one to another!

for the first time wash them by themselves in cold water. After that they should be fine and not bleed onto other clothes!!

wash them on their own or with otehr jeans...wash them inside out to prevent fading...and dont put them in the dryer (or put them in on delicate) to prevent shirkining...all pants will tighten a little till you losen them up but they wont shrink if you do this.
