undergraduate and graduate when appling to college?

You must first get an undergraduate degree (bachelor's). Then one may get a master's OR a Ph. D degree. These are considered graduate because the students have already graduated with a bachelor's degree.

undergraduate education = seeking the bachelors degree

graduate education = seeking the masters or doctoral degree
