I'm 5 foot 3. I always have trouble finding jeans that are short enough for me. Even when I buy jeans from certain brands that say "short", they are still too long. I can get away with them wearing heals, but I would love a pair of jeans that are the right length for me to wear flip flops with them, without having to cuff them. Anyone here shorter than me and have this same problem? Solutions? What brand of jeans do you know of that work well for women 5'3'' and under?

I am 4'11, which is much shorter than any brand says is "short". However, I have VERY good luck with jeans from American Eagle and right now, their fall jeans are in great fits and washes. I just bought a pair of the Artist jean in surf blue wash and they are amazing. This is the fifth or sixth pair I've had that either I haven't had to hem at all or I've loved the break in them so I haven't wanted to. You'll have even better luck I think if you are a smaller size since most stores think there is correlation bt sizes and height (I am NOT a smaller size, tho). Most AE stores carry a few short sizes, but if you shop at AE.com EVERYthing comes in short. Even better, if you print out what you want and go into a store to order it, shipping is free. They also have a hassle free return policy if for some reason you don't like them. Good luck! And don't worry, you are not the only one!

Look for brands that don't go by short/petite, regular/average, or tall/long. Look for brands that size by waist and inseam. Lucky jeans, Silver jeans, etc. all size that way.

I'm actually between a regular and tall most of the time and if I find a 33" inseam, I go for it!

Also take a pair of jeans that you own that you like the length and measure the inseam. That way you'll know what to look for.

Also, Delia's and Alloy.com both carry a large variety of inseams and their jeans are a great price. I love Delia's brand jeans, they always fit great.

Joe's Jeans is a premium denim brand and they make a style for shorter women called The Provocateur. They are 30.5 inches and are ideal from women 5'0 - 5'4.

Here is a direct link to the page explaining these jeans:

They cost a bit more - about $150, but they are worth it. You can buy them right off of Joe's website or there's a store locator on the page too!

Good Luck!

I too have that problem - I get my jeans at Maurices, Gap and Old Navy. If I really like a pair that's too long I'll get them and have them hemmed up.

I have the exact same legs normal but not rlly toned so i would say jeans cuz depending on the color of them they make your legs seem more tanned so go with darker jeans but not brown shorts and you can apply lotion it will make your legs appear more tanned. hope i helped
