what good are conkers exept for playing with ?

Shiela, I don't think anyone outside Ireland knows what a conker is or what you do with them! (I do, only because I married an Irishman and we were just there last week).

Other than the game, as far as I know, they are just seeds, like acorns, and if you plant them they will grow new horse chestnut trees.

I assume you mean from the horse chestnut tree- well for starters horse chestnut trees grow from them
