discus requires PH 6
to have the perfect colour and growth,

u can achieve that by putting fresh water in the tank everyday, but mind u, not more than 30% change,
then temperature shoudl not change abruptly,

Discus are very hard to keep compared to most fish. If you are asking such a basic question you need to do a lot of reading. Discus like soft acidic water. This means pH in the 5.5 to 6 range, and a gH of 3-10.

Fish dont discuss in any ph that i'm aware of! ;)
But if you mean "what ph is best for keeping fish in an aquarium?" then i'd say in most cases keep it between 7 and 8.
