I don't know what the exact practice is one this. I think they make more than a waiter's pay. I just curious about how many tip carhop and how much do you give?

They make minimum wage, and I didn't know this, but found out when my sister went to work there, you ARE supposed to tip the carhops. She said they are happy with $40 in a day, though. So tip them the change to round your bill out, or a buck.

Yes I tip 10-15 percent at Sonic. It's by far the best drive-in around and the carhops are very polite.

They make more than $3 bucks an hour! But anyway....I believe that if you receive a service that you're appreciative for and that it was to your satisfaction, you should tip. So yup, tip away.

I always have but I was a server in high school so I try to tip everyone that might need to live on tips

I don't mean disrespect, but I usually give a dollar. They do have to bring the food out, but they don't really have to serve .
