Log (sub 3) 10 =?

It says log with a little 3 and then 10...I can't figure out how to write it on here...

Any help would be great!

This is the log base 3 of 10, which is asking what power you would have to raise 3 to in order to get 10 (the same as 3^x=10).

You'll need a scientific calculator (one with a "log" key) to solve this. If you can see the stuff you type as you enter it on the screen, you want to make the screen say log(10) / log(3) ... log of 10 divided by log of 3. If you can't see what you type, you enter it backwards 10 log divided by 3 log. You can also do this with the built-in calculator on a Windows computer (in scientific view). You should get around 2.1 for the answer.
