What is the standard rate for tipping at restaurants in The Netherlands?

All wrong, you don't have to tip in Holland.
1. Look at the small printed text on the menu: all prices includes tips.
2. Wages are relatively high.
You can tip though, 10 %

Huh, in Dutch countries?? there is in basic terms one Dutch united states and it quite is named The Netherlands. besides, in pubs here it quite is okay to not supply a tip. yet in case you have been in that pub all night, being served at your table, it quite is astonishing to slide some greater suitable euros. In a eating place, a tip could be something between 10 and 20 % of the bill. yet in a lunch café the place you had a rapid chunk, 5 to ten % (or no tip) would be high-quality.

Hi, I'm Dutch.
It depends on the number of people at your table, and on the amount of money spend. Usually, for something small like coffee and pie for two persons, you just round if off (like 4.60 = 5.00). But for something small like that, it is not really expected from you (unless in summer when you sit outside and the waiters walk their asses of).
If it's a real meal for 2 or 3 people, say for 60.00, you can add some coins for 5 to 10 percent.
Service is included in your bill, but the tips are usually shared amongst the waiters/waitresses.
If you believe that the service was way below sufficient, then don't tip. Easy as that.

The tip is usually calculated in the bill in most European countries I believe. I am not 100% sure though. I would tip like 10-15% just to be on the safe side.

depends on the quality of service... the serving staff has a normal wage and tip is an extra not a must!!
