In the past week I have posted four questions about the state the LGBT Answers category has become. In each of these I have asked about different possible ways it might be possible for Yahoo to clean up the problem of the proflieration of inappropiate and obvious gay bashing. None of these has been repetitive and has been asked intelligently and politely.

All but one of these questions has been deleted. Further I have not even received a violation notice explaining the excuse they are using for deleting me and deducting 10 points to penalize me for my inappropriate behavior.

I find this particularly strange since I was violated and deleted once for commenting "I know gay bashers are idiots but..." I did receive a violation notice that time that I "was being disparaging of members of the Yahoo Community." so I now know I can not say that bigots are intelligence-impaired.

Do you think I should quit being a crybaby and not care and quit even trying to use this category?

pocket68--it is not an issue of getting along it is that Yahoo does not seem to care that 80% of the LGBT category is just garbage making it a useless place for most people interested in the subject matters which are actually relevant and interesting.

Maybe the trolls are really running Yahoo Answers, I have had a question, or two, deleted for no apparent reason, I think maybe some homophobic troll placed us on report, instead of going after the "real" violators here, this is a backwards system. We get bashed almost on a daily basis here, but yet OUR questions are the ones that get deleted. Why is that? Well, anyway, sorry you had your questions deleted, that sux. Peace.

If you are on mobile change to desk top first, however, unfortunately Yahoo has made some changes. Now, once answered the delete button is removed and you can't delete your questions. Before you have an answer, next to the add update pencil click the x delete button. If you are too late, emailing the YA team is no longer a possibility, several months ago they removed the old suggestion board post offering to consider doing so if questions contained personal info. Now, all you can do is hope it is reported as a violation even resolved questions can be removed that way.

I have had similar problem and can only think it is an inside job. No self-respecting site would allow some of these posts to see the light of day. I, too, when questioning the tripe have recieved violations and alerts and warnings after posts are deleted by ?moderators

Someone at Yahoo must be a gay basher who could care less. Keep on posting and giving feedback and reporting people.

If you have questions or problems with the Y!A site, you really should post your concerns on the message board dedicated to Y!A issues.

I agree, from your explanation here, that it does sound quite unfair indeed...seeing as my recent question is similar in idea and it's getting some good responces.

Why is mine allowed to remain while your's have been deleted?

I don't know.

I hope you get answers....good luck!

intelligence impaired!! lol good one

Back to the original question, YA probably doesn't like the fact that you are pointing out a flawed system - they're quick to remove our answers calling gay bashers "intelligence impaired" but they leave all the hate questions like "all ***** go to hell?" Like, hello people, if you took those stupid hateful and repetitive postings off of the section you wouldn't be spending all your time removing our smart*** answers

It makes you wonder.

Sounds as though you have a legitemate argument. It just goes to show you how far we have to go in America. I mean, replace the word gay with black in half of the insanely negative postings I've read and people would think that you were part of the "clan." Makes you wonder.......

because one of the hateful homophobes got mad at you and made you out to be some sort of evil person and reported you, same thing happend to me when OLGA reported me.

im not answering anymore of her questions but if its done in a hateful tasteless maner and spreads hatred it will be reported.

im done playing their game, i will only answer real honest questions, notihing dealing with gay bashing -- those get reported -- and nothing dealing with faskings whatever that is.

im here to report evil people and answer good tasteful questions

Can't we all just get along? I hate to even suggest it, but let it go. If you wanna change the world, do it outside of Yahoo! Answers.

Someone at Yahoo answers is a homophobe or they don't want you rocking their boat.
