Don't waste your money on special detergant. Just use something unscented and do an extra rinse. I use All free and clear for evwryones clothes.

PS I wouldn't wash all those clothes yet. You may not need them all, or they may not fit etc...

You do need to use special laundry detergent b/c of the baby's skin being very senistive. I use Baby All which I got at Walmart. It's the cheapest that I found. They also sell Dreft but it is around $9 a bottle where All is around $4 a bottle. Hope this helps.

My doctor told me that you CAN use the free and clear detergents, but not all babies are as sensitive. You can try washing a pair of baby socks with your regular laundry, and check the baby for rashes or sensitivity. I still use the baby detergent from time to time if I have a full load of just my baby's clothes, though, cause I love the way it smells!

I use Persil non-bio liguid, and my daughter seems okay with this...she has very sensitive skin. Just make sure you use a non-biological washing powder/liquid.
