I had my blood pressure taken last night as part of a routine exam for a life insurance policy-- it was 90 over 54.

The nurse doing the exam didn't seem to think it was a big deal...but remarked that it is low and said it could explain why I feel so run down all the time.

Is that blood pressure too low? If not, what is? And how can one counter the effects of low blood pressure?

It's a little low. But if you're young, thin, healthy and active, then it's a great blood pressure.
