I don't think any other genre of music has ahd a West Coast/East Coast thing! Please correct me if wrong but this is fact, not stereo-typing. Are they just going to kill each other off & then no more rap or what?!

i couldn't agree with you more. I hate rap. It seems like 99% of rappers are up to no good. All rap is is people talking. Anybody can do it. You can have the worst voice in the world and still do it. I hate it when they get paid all that money for pretty much having no voice or skill. Everytime you read the paper, a rapper is either pullled over for drinking and driving, or is high, or involved in a shooting. I don't know why. I guess it's because 90% of rappers are black, and if you turn on the news, most of the people that kill people are black. MOST not ALL. There are some black people out there that have sense.

Entertainer's records were selling slow so getting shot increases street credibility to those who had little or no street cred to begin with. Very sad and very tragic....

In general, many rappers from the 70's, 80's and up to the mid 90's have lived clean lives or reformed themselves from the gangsta lifestyle - Ice-T and Snoop Dogg are two of many who have walked away from the "thug" life and into one of respectability.

Today, I walk down the streets and all I hear is the cell phone ringtones of the "Atlanta" generation and I ask myself what the ****. I can't even travel to one part of Baltimore County because it reminds me of Atlanta and I hate that ******* city more than my worst enemies. All the disrespect, loud conversations, loud ringtones, people spilling soda on public transportation - no respect for their own lives and no respect for anything or anyone. Rap was a novelty but Rap was about respect - whether you were from New York or LA. Today's rap talks about disrespect and when there is too much disrespect - people get shot and killed. This is the truth....

My question is this: do anyone care or is this a reason to dump on rappers some more? I love conversations like this, because the ones who dislikes rappers never has a intelligent answer & if it is it's borderline racist. Some black people has sense, huh? So, everybody else dosent mess up?

Now dont get me wrong, these rappers today seem to think that they are intitled to money just because they rap. It's not like in the days of Public Emeny. But people are so full of s**t when stuff like this happens. "They deserve to get shot." "They are thugs." So in other words, rappers deserve to get shot & possibly die just because they seem to be thugs? People should think before they write stuff down.

How can we raise the number of rappers getting shot? For that matter, how about the losers who listen to that crap?
Rap is one of the biggest problems with the dumbing down of the American youth. When it started in the late 70's and early 80's,it was a novelty. Now ANYBODY can be a rapper. It takes no real talent.
The people who listen to rap are all trying to look and act like gangstas. They just look and sound like idiots.
Of course, the problem starts with their parents. No real parent would let their kids go out dressed the way they do.Kids who wear their hats on sideways or backwards should be slapped so hard their hat straightens out the way it's supposed to be worn. The baggy pants look is just gay. When I say gay,I mean,it was started in prison. When you wear your pants down so your underwear shows,it means your ready to take a dick in the old poop shoot.

You are just being ignorant

There are plenty of "white" stars that get in trouble for drugs and beating their wives.
The media just puts focus on the rap stars.

You shouldn't make generalizations like this. It makes you seem like a closeminded idiot. That's like saying all rockers are drugged up, nymphos, always getting arrested. It's an unfair stereotype.
