this might sound abit stupid and quite embarrasing but why am i dead horney after my period? is it cos i am on the pill , i am only 17 am i normall ? sensible answers please

It's completely normal. My girlfriend gets dead horny DURING her period - it's because your hormones run high during that week or so. too bad for me, because, well, she's on her period at the time. And the pill can do funky things to your hormones, and can have odd side effects, so they may not be helping the problem, but chances are you're just a normal, healthy 17 year old. Do me a favor - be different from too many 17 year olds who realize they're dead horny, and DONT get pregnant. :-P

If you only feel dead horny after your period, you do not have a high sex drive - the pill does change your hormones, which is likely to effect your sex-drive.
Best thing is to have a laugh, and a chat, with your girlfriends about these kinds of issues; if your friends are honest, you will all come to a better understanding of your physical needs.

Look at it like this, is it not better to have those feelings and enjoy them! Imagine if your ability to feel that way disappeared You are lucky to be able to have those feelings many do not.
Most women have those feelings just before they come on it is the bodies way of doing its job. If these feelings did not exist then we would not have the urge to continue to populate the earth with lots of mini you's and I's.
There is a biological reason for how you feel but for now just enjoy how it makes you feel but be careful if interacting with others rather than just alone. No one likes and STD and for sure you are not ready for kids even if you are on the pill it is not 100% effective.

totally normal--your hormones rigth after your period change. your body is getting ready to ovulate again and it is a primal thing that is making your horney so that you will be more apt to get pregnant. Not too many men will chase the PMS woman the week before but the week after your body is trying to mate. It is all biological.

females have sex drives just like men. It is a myth that they have less of a sex drive. Everyone has a diffrent drive, yours might just be rev'ed up. I don't think the pill effects your sex drive, I would check with your OBGYN on that question.
as for being horney after your period, it could be as simple as you have not had sexual releations for a week, and now you want them.

Its normal, I have been like that since I became sexually active when I was 17. I just could not get enough sex and my boyfriend could barely keep up with me. It has been the same ever since then. We are married now and he loves it. His buddies at work talk about how their wives never have sex with them and my hubby says he can never complain because I am always willing ready for him. So don't feel ike you are not normal and feel good about the fact that your man will appreciate it:)

well if you're not normal then neither am I! Alot of girls get really horney, we just don't talk about it as much. I'm always more horney right before my period... it's all pretty natural.

I think it just means you're healthy and normal. I have a very high sex drive and I'm a girl. Certain times of the month are worse than others, you just learn to roll with it.

Right before your period you body is gearing up to make a child.
One of the effects of this is being very aroused.
Make sure you take you pill on time.

Drive varies from woman to woman. Sounds normal. A guy friend of mine with a high drive of his own finally met his match in a gal who wanted it a number of times a day - every day!
