there are 2ways you could do this.

1) punch both of those into a calculator and see if they equal the same thing - a teacher wont like this method very much

2) find a common denominator...
what do you need to multiply 8 by to get 120? the answer is, 15. so multiply your numerator by 15 also... which gives you 75/120. they are certainly proportional.
