02 huh you must be in the UK.
I know people are going to think i'm working for them but i'd say just download Opera Mini and use that to access aol.com and any other web based e-mail service. Cingular here across the pond has a e-mail service that lets you check e-mail accounts but i still use Opera Mini.
Your provider should let you know or AOL may have the instructions on their site so i couldn't tell you how to do it manually my friend but i'd advise asking 02 tech support not customer service because they're not typically trained in anything except billing.
