I am a fan of scary movies but I haven't seen them all so give me some suggestions!

The scariest movie I've ever seen is the Exorcist, if you are going to see it, don't watch it alone!! Im 25 and it still creeps me out.
Some other scary ones are House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts, Nasfaratu (old b&w) Mary Shelly's Frakenstein, grudge, Saw movies, and Silence of the Lambs

Movies just aren't that scary anymore, but as for entertainment, I recommend House of a Thousand Corpses, The Devil's Regects, Saw and Saw II, (Saw III comes out on the 27th), and the Hellraiser movies. Don't waste your time on Hostel, the only scary thing about it is that it's based on actual events. If you like comedy mixed in with your horror, Army of Darkness is a classic.

The Shining freaks me out and so does The Changeling and the Exorcist ofcourse! I have to admit that I also get creeped out by Twilight Zone the movie with that scary little alien thing on the wing of the plane or the girl with no mouth watching cartoons... ugh!

well, i loved the list people are talking about here, but not a lot of them might agree... the scariest one i saw ( and i dont get scared easlily) is ... The Ring...
Ring 2 was not that scary ....
I dont find the Exorcist, Grudge, Psycho etc scary at all ... its just that in the Home Theater, if you cut out the lights and watch the Ring, man it scares the holy crap outta u ....

Whe I was twelve I saw The Exorcist in a dark old drive in for the first time. Scariest movie I ever saw...

When I was about 7 I saw the old horror classic Black Sabbath. It's a compilation of 3 scary stories. The middle one, about the dead witch, just scared me to death. Nightmares for YEARS. Of course, I was SEVEN... so... *s*
The one to scare me the most recently was The Ring. Yow, I couldn't sleep for a week!

Recently - Frailty scared the crap out of me - didn't sleep for a few nights.
Oldies - the 1961 original version of The Haunting the re-make was stupid - the original was truly scary.

The Exorcist all the new horror flicks out there fail to do what this move was able to do, use intellect instead of plain gore and cheap scare tactics
