false pregnancy results?

Question

Ok I've missed my period by 6 days and I took 3 test, all ept. 2 of them were positive and the last was negative, I know there is no way I could be pregnant but, there are always flukes I guess. I'm just freaking out at this point and have scheduled an appointment with my doctor for today. Any info on this would be appreciated

To all you people that keep saying otherwise - There ARE SUCH THINGS AS FALSE POSITIVE test results.

How do you "know there is no way" you could be pregnant? Are you a virgin or been abstinent for a long period of time? If you are sexually active then you are most likely pregnant, even if you used birth control.

hmm well, as far as i know, i'v never heard of a test coming up positive and being false. If two out of three came up positive then most likely you are pregnant.

Def a good idea going to the doctor at least that way you'll know for certain!!!

--didn't quite understand when you say there is know way you could be pregnant though...

Why is there no way you could be pregnant. There is a great possibility. Usually when pregnancy tests are wrong it is a false negative. The test are looking for hormones in your urine you only get when you are pregnant. So if it is positive there is more than likely that hormone in your urine. False negetives are more likely because sometimes there isn't enough of the hormone for the test to read.

False positives are very rare except for if you have one of a few rare medical conditions. Why are you sure you are not pregnant, and why are you taking pregnancy tests if you are sure you are not pregnant? Your doctor should clear everything up, but in the meantime, there is a lot of good information on home pregnancy tests at:

Your late for you period by almost a week and 2 out of 3 of the HPT's you took came out positive -- I would say that you are pregnant. My question is, how is there no way that you could be pregnant? Yea there is a possibility of a false positives (believe me I know) but 2 of them. Best thing is go to your dr. and find out. But I would def say that you are preg.

Congratulations - you are pregnant. Like others have said, it is nearly impossible to get a false positive pregnancy test. Ignore the negative and celebrate the positive!

Ok, your period is 6 days late and you've had two positive home pregnancy tests? Congrats, you are pregnant!

I am 100 percent sure you are pregnant. False positives are very very very rare and unusual.

I was tested by my doctor and was told I was pregnant by a urine sample but because of my medical history she wanted to be on the safe side and had a blood test done which came back negative. The reason why my tests were so different were because of my thyroids. I hope this helps.

honey i didn't think that i could get pregnant bc of health problems that i had in the past. I had a little girl on Dec. 23 of last year... yes it can happen, even with a tubal litigation, my friend's mom got pregnant a couple of years after having this procedure done

How can you be certain you're not pregnant? False positives are so rare they almost don't exist! You're late on your period and you've had two positive tests, honey, you're going to be a mother.
