It is a topical antibiotic used for simple eye infections. It is actually a combination of Bacitracin and Polymyxin b, two antibiotics which work by inhibiting bacterial cell growth (Bacitracin) and killing bacteria (Polymyxin).

The only contraindication is known allergy to its components.
