I will NOT tolerate that woman and her behavior near my son.
For example:
-in the hospital when he was born said she'd fight to take custody of him someday if my husband and i ever split up while pointing and yelling it at my mom!
-has shown up places she's not welcome just to come in and grab my newborn and take off crying hysterically on him
-kisses my 6-8 wk old baby all over his mouth & face with big herpes sores on her mouth despite being asked not to...says "cold sores aren't a big deal for him to get" and she'll do it anyway like she's done all the other kids.
-come to my house, take baby again and go off cryin on him alone and then when asked why she's doing that, went psycho screaming and yellin with the baby & wont give him back, calling me names, swearing in front of my stepdaughter at us until my husband threw her out. There's so much more! She truely is not a good person
A year later, some argue, but I still feel strong on this.. am I wrong to keep her from her grandson?

Yikes! If that was my crazy MIL, I'd probably get a restraining order. As your kids get older, though, let them see for themselves what a nut job she is, because if you try to keep them apart without the kids really seeing why, they'll try to establish a relationship with her behind your back. Forbidden fruit, you know.

I would continue the engagement...as long he allows his mother to live in the home and continue to drink, your relationship with him will suffer. She is old enough to take care of herself, true, but she has a problem with drinking. She needs help...and bad, but more than likely she will not take help because she is happy the way you are. Have a heart-to-heart with your fiance about his mom and how she treats you. He needs to know and you need not suffer with this. It could be that her getting treatment could be a condition to her continuing to live with you. It could be that she is depressed and is dreading the "loss" of her son. She feels like she is losing him and is afraid of being alone. Either way, I would tell him your at wits end about what to do. Maybe he can get her into some daytime activities at the local senior center or get her involved in a hobby and let you have some peace during the day. Or maybe ban alcohol from the household or she is to stay in her room when she does drink. As long as she continues to drink like she does, you two will continue to have problems. I wish you best of luck. Hold your head. Itll all be over eventually.

you have every right to protect your son from this crazy ***** and tell her i said so she is not healthy at all and i would get a order of protection and a no contact order in order to keep it that way if i was you the first time she grab my son up and acted a *** i would have kicked her azz and that would have been it she's an idiot and why do they let peole like that stay in public im sorry she is a danger to all of you take action and as far as her herpes on her mouth she wouldnt be in my house since she feels its not going to bother the baby . tell your husband his mother is out no longer aloud in you alls house and thats it . if he does after you have said that you cant take anymore you are going to kill her .the women is sick and she is not your problem to deal with .

drama. If my mother in law was psychotic like yours. There is not chance in hell i would let my child get near her. You should'nt have your baby around her. It's not healthy for him and it's sure not healthy for you. Just keep her away. Talk to your husband about the issues. But don't let your mother in law run your life or tell you how to raise your child.

You need to tell her that if she continues in this behavior ,next time she takes the baby out with her without your permission call the police and teach her a lesson . you have to stand up to her and let her know she cannot walk on you. Get her some proffesional help she needs it.

Are you sure she doesn't have some sort of health problem.Has she always been like this? Does she always have sores on her like that? I would says she has some sort of health problem that is sending her crazy and until she gets tests run on her and gets help I would keep my kids far from her.
