We are moving out of NY to Sanantonio, TX. My husband got a new project in TX. Its been really depressing spending the last 2 months in NY. I just love this city, its never boring here! I have been here for more than 6 yrs now (almost my entire sweet yrs of youth) and am really scared of how its going to be in TX. Anyone know abt sanantonio? Do you think its a rt decision?

Like all cities, there are perks and issues...

New York is my hometown and have been in San Antonio and Houston In Tx. I came back from Texas because I like the fast pace and 24hr open city.

What I did like about San Antonio is the city is not a big city in comparison to NY. It has the southern hospitality and seems to be friendly and you get to meet those around you (depending upon location). The weather is nice but I missed the 4 seasons. The riverwalk is beautiful and enjoy the sun..

My advice is do not go there with a closed mind. Make the best of the location and then see if you like it. You never know, you might feel homey there...

Different people down south compared to the big apple. It's definitely going to be a milder winter, from what you are used to. Not as crowded and not as rushed...a little more laid back. It's not the end of the world. It is the right decision for now. Your husband and your lives should be what is important and a little give goes a long way. You never know..you may like it?

You will LOVE living in the South. It is laid back and stress free. You will find out more about yourself being in teh South and you will definiately have a change of temperature. So pack up those big bulky coats and buy some more bikinis!!! You will love it! There are no right or wrong choices in this situation...you just have to make the best of it! GOOD LUCK with the move!

San Antonio is beautiful, nothing like NYC though. You are being selfish think of your hubby! you can always go back and visit whenever you want! If you keep having this attitude someone else will be willing to be w/ your hubby in TX, He sounds like a good man..........I'm sinlge, hopefully he wil be soon too. j/k you get the idea. If you really love him make the sacrifice if you are too selfish then end things, stay in NYC, and go on with your life!

It looks such as you have given this a good style of theory and that's some thing you need to do. in case you do it, ensure which you do're doing it for the right motives. do no longer do it just to get faraway from an oppressive family contributors undertaking. you are going to be working from one undesirable undertaking into yet another. Your boyfriend needs you to pass to NYC, yet he's no longer offering that can assist you financially in any way? he would be going to college and residing in a dorm, and you will postpone college and artwork to shop funds to stay in a shared house? and you will see him...whilst? between jobs and school? Get some commitments from him in the previous you uproot your existence and take off into the unknown. one in all those pass might desire to be disastrous for you and might reason issues along with your loved ones in case you do it against their needs. Say what you will approximately them, they're helping you presently. in the adventure that your boyfriend is keen to make a contribution, it appears that evidently like a calming adventure; yet whilst he's calling forward to you to hold the load on my own, think again.

My husband has worked a lot in San Antonio. It's a really nice city. The people are very friendly and they have good barbeque.
The only thing is it's pretty humid, but that's not bad if you have dry skin. =)
