Ha ha, Heather I think you need to check your spelling as well seeing as how it's menstruating not menstrating. Anyways, I have no idea what streaches are, so I cannot help you out on that one.

If you put some more details as to what you are talking about when you say streaches, it would be easier to answer your question....but whatever it is, there's nothing that can happen to the baby when someone is holding them that is on their cycle.

THIS IS AN OLD WIVES TALE. THEY CALL IT THE STRAIN. THEY USE TO TIE A STRING AROUND THE BABIES WRIST FOR NINE DAYS BECAUSE THE BABY WOULD MAKE STRAINING NOISES. THEY WOULD SAY THAT IT CAME FROM SOMEONE HOLDING THE BABY WHILE THEIR PERIOD WAS ON. THEY ALWAYS WOULD SAY WAIT UNTIL THE BABY IS A MONTH OLD BEFORE YOU LET ANYONE HOLD THE BABY. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THIS WIVES TALE BECAUSE THE NURSES IN THE HOSPITALS HAVE PERIODS AND THEY HAVE TO HANDLE THE BABIES.
