A pint's a pound the world around. 2 pints in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon makes 8 pounds in a gallon. 1/8 th of a gallon or 1 pint in a pound.

Depends on the mass of the liquid. Water I believe weighs around 8 pounds per gallon.

A gallon of water weighs about 7 pounds. A gallon of a denser liquid would weigh more (like a gallon of molten lead). Since gallon is a measure of liquid and pounds are a measure of weight there is no exact direct conversion.

Assuming the liquid is water then "a pint's a pound the world around". Two pints in a quart, four quarts in a gallon=8 pints=8lbs. If were talking hot lead then that's a horse of another color.
