We have completed all the plumbing and electrics - there is gravity fed water from both hot and cold pipes - but as soon as we connected the shower unit for commmissioning the water pressure drops to a trickle. There is no blockage - tried sucking pipe as recommended by triton as they thought there may be blockage within the unit - but no - the water still at a trickle!

Anything else we can try please!? Or is it a faulty unit?

ok - when we commission - there is a small connector and before it is connected (PCB) the water runs from the pipes - none of the pipes run above the water tank - they run about two feet below the cold water tank - there is gravity water. We even disconnected the filter units inside the shower unit and water gushes out - but as soon as we connect every thing and use the shower hose it is a trickle. It is the purging bit that we are doing - we have let it run for several minutes - tried the suction on the hose - but still a trickle. We are waiting for an engineer but are hoping to fix it - it is the triton from screwfix as listed below...

and yes we can hear electricity - both in the commissioning stage - and when we put the fascia on to try the full power.

I have found that there is sometimes an integral valve in the flexible connectors with a screwdriver slot which must be turned 90 degrees.
I hope you dont have to do this........Raise the roof tank.
or fit an air switch to over-ride the flow switch.
TRY emailing if you really want more information

It probably acts like the "standby" light on a TV, which stays on as long as the TV is plugged in. In the case of your shower, perhaps it's there to act as a warning, that the separate isolation switch needs to be turned off before anybody tries to remove the cover and service the shower.

Which model is it???????????????????

Can you hear the pump running??????????????

Check that the electricity and water supplies are turned on to the unit.
Check that the on/off control connector inside the front cover has been fitted to the PCB in the unit (as per the fitting instructions).
Ensure that the inlet filters are clear of blockages.
Check that the air had been purged from the pipes up to the inlet elbows (as per the fitting instructions).
Check that the cold water tank is at least 3 inches above the top of the unit.

Please bear in mind, if the pump is not running, it will actually create a restriction on the water flow.
