Staff is probably correct in the estimation - however, there's no such thing as the normal motorway speed limit on the M25! Some stretches you'll be able to do 70mph but where there are roadworks (between J17 and J18, between J24 and J26), you're restricted to 40mph. Add to that any traffic jams - and there will be traffic jams regardless of time of day - it could be anything from 2.5 hours to 4 hours.

had to laugh at that question. As if anyone ever got round the M25 at normal motorway speed. I think it is affectionatly called the M25 car park.

keeping to the legal speed limit, and taking into the fact the speed limit is 70mph untill you get to the Dartford crossing, it will take roughly 2hrs to complete the 117mile journey, approx.
