Today is my birthday, but I do not really feel like celebrating. How about somebody say something to cheer me up.

No one enjoys feeling old as the calendar, yet again, marks the turn of a new year and a new age. Why is that we hate birthdays? Because we are instilled with a notion that we are one year closer to being either incapable of wiping our own bums or, dare I say it, dead.

What I say to you my friend, life is a figment of a formative carousel. You grow old in hopes to learn new experiences and learn from your mistakes. So when the time comes as to raise your child, you can say, “Take it from me son (or daughter)—I know what you’re going through.” Hopefully your child will take your advice knowing that through your growing of age you have gained wisdom along the way which poses some value.

For myself, I wish to be much older—I wish to be 65 years old and retired. How I see it, those are glorious years to be truly free.

When I feel old I pamper myself. I go shopping and buy a new outfit or get my hair done. I surround myself with my most positive friends and that makes me feel better. Being around people who love me makes me feel young and happy.
