i have 2 window units in my house instead of centeral air what would be more entergy eficiant leaving them on Low all day and night or turning them off when ever i leave my house during the day for work then coming home and having to put them on high for 3 hours b4 the house gets cool again

Depends on the units. Try it out for a week. Read your electric meter and do it one way and read the meter. Then do it the other way and read the meter. Whichever way uses the least KWH do it that way.

turn them off whan you are not home. it is a matter of total hours running that changes your bill. if you want to save the most turn them off when you are not home.
