Greek Sculpture revision. I am an Alevel student looking for extra notes on the Archaic and the Classical period.
I need to name, date and locate pediments, friezes, statues, metopes, etc... Anything that can help me remember that vital information is great.

Thnx in advance.

I apologize, but my answer is actually for you question about the TICKING CLOCK, which I didn't see until after the answers had closed.

A "ticking clock" is simply a storytelling device used to create a deadline for the protagonist to complete the tasks necessary in order to resolve the conflict in the story.

Often, it is a finite deadline:

Jack must defuse the bomb before the counter reaches zero (a literal ticking clock)

Mary Sue must raise $10,000 before the end of the month, or the bank will foreclose on the farm.

Sometimes the ticking clock is a more fluid deadline:

Indy must get to the Ark before the Nazis do

Chad must win Clarissa's heart before Clint steals her away.

As the story approaches this deadline, the actions of both the protagonist and the antagonist become bigger and more desparate, thus increasing the overall tension in the story building to its climax.

Hope this helps, and I now return you to your regularly scheduled question.
