Is it legal for a police officer to...?

turn his lights on for about 30 seconds and fly past people on the interstate, & then turn his lights back off?

it scared the shyt outta me, i thought i was going 2 the big house

I work for a fire department and we run into the same thing (sort of). Sometimes we get dispatched to a call and then cancelled (example, for a false alarm). We then flip the lights and sirens off. This could be the same thing.
