You can try this:

go to http://www.abebooks.com and click on "advanced search" Put in the info from your book (title, author, year published, etc) and see what it comes up with. When it brings up the book - order it by highest price as the highest priced books will be more like what you have. Try to find someone who has a similar book to yours and see what they're selling it for. It won't give you an exact value - but you can get an approximation of what others are asking for it.

Otherwise, see if there's an antique dealer in your area and take the book to them.

I tried looking it up on abebooks - but without any more info (you just gave me the title - need author, and year published) it was hard to pinpoint what you have.

Be very careful with book dealers, if indeed it is a rare and valuable book they might try to trick you.
Try and contact The British Library, they have a catalogue over most publications and you might find it there. If they can't tell you the exact value, they would know how rare it is and if it's valuable or not.

or try to search for it under:

http://catalogue.bl.uk

You say nothing about when the book is printed (usually there is a year, below the publishers name, but not always).

Best of luck.

Several ways. Check with several different rare booksellers websites or in person. Also, go to the Sothbey's and Christie's auction house websites and check with them as they have experts in every field and they may want to sell it for you too. If those sites don't work try the Library of Congress' website at: loc.gov and post your question on their query site. Good Luck!
