Seriously, though, General Relativity says that gravity is the curvature of space caused by a mass. There's actually evidence for this.
Another view of gravity comes from the Standard Model. It says that gravity could be caused by particles called gravitons.

Yes, gravity exists. It is caused by the distortion of space-time by mass (and/or a significantly large energy density).
Of course, if reality is only a simulation, then one might be able to make the point that gravity is only an algorithm to keep the avatars in place. However, any avatar realizing this would probably be deleted before .................

Gravity is a myth made up by secular humanists to take god out of our physics classes. The only good theory is the theory of "Intelligent Falling". It posits that it is gods love that atttracts us to the earth.
