The Pagani Zonda is the most expensive production car at $600K
then you hace the Koeningsegg CCR at $565K and the Saleen S7 at $555k....
However the Buggatti Veyron (owned by VW) is the worlds fastest and most expensive at $1.2MM but not mass produced....
Hope this helps......

Just how rich a world is the world in which the ten most expensive cars live? For one thing, no Ferrari, Aston, Bentley, Lamborghini or Rolls-Royce made the list. Two Maybachs did--but just barely.

Different sources will say different things. You could say that the Bugatti Veyron is the most expensive production car at $1.2 million USD. But they only make about 50 a year. Next would probably be the Koenigsegg CCX. The base price is $590,000 and go up from there. The Ferrari F50 is listed at more than $500,000. The Mercedes McLaren (in 2007 will be called the SLR 722 Edition) is listed at $455,500.

Any Custom Automobile that you have made for you will be the most expensive of that model. Order a Custom Bugatti, add 18k Gold Trim, Diamolnd studded steering wheel, and whatever and I am sure they will have a price for it.
Cadillac made a Pickup Truck for Evil Kenevil, that was in the 1970s or 1980s, but you can go to a dealer and tell them you want a a 3 Trillion car, and they will deliver you an on the market car for 3 trillion dollars.

I still have my 1969 Dodge Dart, it's worth everything to me....
You can buy it for a quick $850,000.
Why so expensive? Long story. My uncle brought it home from his dealership, nothing special, four doors, slant-six motor, ugly blue.
However, it was a car, with keys in it, and Woodstock was two days away. Zzzzoooomm..... do you know how many people you can fit in a Dart? Luckily, enough people to lift it's rear end out of the mud....
The car doesn't behold much evidence of the event other than a sideswipe on I-87 all puttied over, painted, and bashed back into.
Purity in vehicularism is virtue among machinations on earth.
Hop in 'Uncle Chuck' and you will make to Tierra del Fuego' so long as you keep peeing in the tank and blowing out the fuel filter.
Maybe I'd better raise the price to 900 grand....

The McLaren F1 is probably the most exotic of the exotics, and definitely one of the best looking and expensive
. Contrary to popular belief, it does not have the top speed of the street legal production cars, sinc the Vector Avtech takes that honor at 249 MPH. However, with an incredible 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds, it's definitely one of the fastest off the line. There are only a handful of these made each year, which is just as well, since with a price tag of $1,000,000 only a few people in the world can afford it. Currently there are only 7 in the U.S., and Ralph Lauren owns two of them, one of which he is selling.

Assuming that market means the entire car market encompassing new, used classic and custom manufactured, Recently a 1924 one of a kind Rolls Royce Silver Phantom sold for $24 Million. If you're talking new exotic it would have to go to the new Bugatti Supercar. Both are wonderfully unattainable. And if you could afford them, would you truly drive and enjoy them? Sadly, the answer is probably no. Having worked in the exotic and custom car world for years, I saw very expensive cars bought and sold with little or no miles put on them. They were merely 3000 lb trophies to show to friends and business prospecs. A shame really; it's like never letting a thoroughbred horse run.

Wish I was a kid and had parents that could afford the Porsche. Not really, my Ford P/U has been good for almost20 years.

Bugatti Veyron
When your car costs more than $1.2 million, travels over 230 mph, and hits 62 mph in 2.5 seconds, you do not sit in a passenger cabin — you sit in a "survival cell."
The "survival cell" is the heart of the Bugatti Veyron, billed as the world's fastest, most expensive and most exclusive factory-built car. It will arrive in the United States beginning early 2006.
Bugatti, owned by Volkswagen, can only produce one Veyron per week in its newly built factory in France, and will only produce the two-tone vehicle when one is ordered. The company will also stop when it hits 300 orders.
Bugatti has sold 45 Veyrons so far, the majority in the United States, said Georges Keller, Bugatti's head of communications.
