To not see the beauty all around us on a daily basis would be a travesty.

I see this beauty in the fir trees surrounding our home; in the way the cliff faces reach for the clouds; in the rain as it caresses the leaves before soaking the ground.

I see the beauty of a bird in flight and our dog trotting around the yard; in the sunbeams dancing through the limbs and leaves and the clouds as they pass over the moon.

There was beauty in the eyes of my grandson as he reeled in his first fish, and my granddaughter as she discovered my nose.

There is beauty in all things in Creation;
Yes, Creation -- for nothing this beautiful, this grand, could have happened by accident or chance.

Seeing is believing.

A most peacful, excellent question, m'lady!

ABSOLUTLY! The most perfect and beautiful things on this Planet are what has been created by the artist of creation. If you are driving down the road and you look out into the forrest, it looks like a tangled mess of leaves and sticks and dull existance. If you take the time to set in the middle of the woods for a minute or two you will soon see the perfection and the beauty in it. The problem is that it takes effort to see beauty. It takes bringing your mind into the moment and taking a few seconds to let everything else go that occupies your conciousness. You have to be where beauty is at to see it. In many cases it takes beauty to see beauty. If you are a loving beautiful person then beauty will reveal it's self to you because it is what you give. If your mind is full of darkness and anger then you will rarely see the beauty in anything. Remember everything that you preceive to be matter, is made up of atoms. These little perfectly arrayed little unseen works of beauty are collected together to form the beautiful colors of fall and the beauty of a snowflake when seen up close. These atoms are all a matter of light viberating at their own viberation. I suggest if beauty is not showing its self to you, then you need to turn on the light. You do that by projecting a little beauty ourward. That energy will light up all of the atoms in your vision and the vision of others around you. Soon you have sent a ripple of light through our all of mankind.
Love and Peace,
the Rev.

Beauty is not only in the physical.. It can be a memory. When I feel the need to have beauty in my life, I remember the love that was shared between my grandparents they fell in love at a very young age (before they where teenagers and lived their life time together) or the sight of the northern lights the beauty in the constant changes of light is a beauty that can't be described with words as is the beauty in love for children or grandchildren.

Your question made my day. :) I have been noticing the fall colors lately, and it is astonishing that so many people don't take the time to be aware of their surroundings.
I find beauty in clouds and the sunset, I watch it every evening with my son. Of course, the most beautiful thing in the world to me is my son, and I hope that he sees the beauty of the world when he is an adult.
I see beauty in the stars, and am literally paralyzed by them on a clear night. It is just so amazing that we are so small and the universe is so vast and eternal.
THings like that make one realize that life is short, and enjoy it while you can.

Certainly one sees beauty in nature. Remember the words of King Solomon in the Bible, I forgot where now. Goes something like this, "three things I see but I don't understand: the way of a ship on the sea, the way of a lion in the forest, and the way of a man with a woman"...He also remarked in the Song of Solomon about the physical attributes of his lady love. "Thy belly is like a sheaf of wheat set about with lillies", and my personal favorite, "thy breasts are like two fawns in the forest, which are twins" Old Solomon was quite the nature-lover. My favorite journey into the natural world is with a microscope, seeing things which only God sees. A tiny, tiny shell which many millions of years ago contained Life. That sort of thing. A real thrill. But I live in the desert and spent a lot of time out and about, and I feel sorry for city people. The desert after a rain has a narcotic effect on my senses. Overwhelming. I must be losing it in my old age, though. For quite awhile now I've been speaking to the animals I meet. Rattlesnake ain't got no ears but he gets a big morning greeting as well. Like I said...

i live in alaska in a fairly small town, the reason i moved here so long ago was for that exact reason, the beauty of this land is incredible and awe inspiring,so many times i have had great epiphinies about the inter-connectedness of all life the oneness of the universe, how all actions ripple throughout time and the universe, how the salmon migrate home to spawn and die,how they bring life on there journey to death that ripples throughout the entire cosmos.it incredible.it is beautiful and astounding how it all relates into itself without small key things an eco-system on the other side of earth may suffer. and for all those that give me a hard time about being a greeny or something, you should know i am a commercial fisherman and i am part of the cycle of life as well.

I see beauty in the world all the time, but I rarely take the time to truly appreciate it. I see beauty on everything, especially how people react and act towards an act of goodwill.

I think it's thoughtful that you posted this question, it gets us all thinking about the beauty surrounding us, and it shows that you are a beautiful person inside also.

Thank You

We only have but one life to live! I love life and wake up everyday with the smile on my face. I see beauty when I look a sunset, the ocean to see and watch the waves crash against the rocks is a cool sound. However, the beauty in my life is the most important to me, when my daughter crossed the stage on graduation day. That was a beautiful moment, when my children where born that too was a beautiful moment. When my bf touches me and looks into my eyes I feel incredibly beautiful...You have to STOP and smell the ROSES or life Will pass you by....Cool question......

I take the time to "stop and smell the roses" every day. Our lives have become so busy and rushed and I don't want that for my children. So, I take the time every day to read a book for myself and to them, to listen to the wind in the trees, to smell the flowers, to smile at people, to give people the right of way (when driving in the Bay area this can be hard to do), I try and take my time doing things and going places, I don't have myself or children in a whole bunch of activities, instead we go to the park, bake at home, make foods from scratch, feed the birds, go for long walks and talk about what we see. We even despite the price of gas will go for a long drive and a picnic. Life is to short to forget the simple pleasures in life they are the true beauty and I try to share them with my family every day.
Kudos to you for noticing the beauty in our world!

All the time. I used to love driving home and seeing the sunset behind the Huachucas. The colors on the mountains would be mauve, purple, greens, greys.

I am most relaxed when I am surrounded by nature. My favorite bird is the cardinal, especially when there is lots of white snow around.

I miss the autumn colors since I've been in the Southwest.
