I want to go to Kauia, and either Maui (I've already been) or the Big Island. What does each island offer? Where can I surf?

I highly recommend Kauai as it is the most romantic of the Hawaiian islands I have visited. There are many nice hotels there but I stayed at the well appointed Marriott. One can take long drives around the island and not have to endure heavy traffic. There is a place, on the rainy side of the island that has a near replica of the Grand Canyon, many little shops dot the island landscape. Wild chickens are to be found throughout wooded areas. The food is good, especially at the Marriott. The atmosphere is very relaxing and private. I spend many months in Honolulu which is like living in a big congested city, I found Maui a bit congested as well. Kauai is for honeymooners. Cat
