Hot question and to the point. Scary thinking about this but also scared it could happen. Obvious Republican tradition is along a dictatorship. Because they rally around the "person" not the topic at hand.

Within the next three or four years the Islamocrazies are gonna detonate a nuclear device either in San Francisco or in an enclosed football stadium. This time, we'll lose way more than 3,000 like we did on 9-11. We'll lose 60,000, 100,000, or more. And you my friend, will forget you asked this silly question. Instead all you libs will be blaming Bush for not doing enough. Why didn't he connect the dots? Why wasn't he looking for these terrorists? Why is he so stupid? What was he doing? I'm guessing Bush is having nightmares knowing that his hands are being tied and silly people are accusing him of wanting to be a dictator. I would suggest in the meanwhile, buy a radiation suit and stay out of large stadiums. You're betting that terrorists are our friends and really like us. You lose.

Almost every month we either loose or Mr. Bush wants to take away more rights and privileges. The Neo-Conservatives would love to make a law concerning viewpoints against the war, or the president, etc. I guess then it would be called The Military State of America.

I'm not a republican but I vote for the republicans now so I can't answer for all republicans. I think they favor the enforcement of existing laws. With our government's system of checks and balances, there is not going to be a dictator in the USA unless we are over-run by other countries or fanatics. It is not a question of defending this president OR the constitution. We defend him because he is OUR president and HE is trying to defend us. The constitution is being defended in our war on terror including the Iraqi front. How are you commislamic fascists defending the constitution?

No all that would disagree with the RNC/GOP
The president is just another working stiff. He is in charge of nothing.
The Redsters favor a more totalitarian form of Government. But Red State politics is no different than Blue in that it is all about the money.
Go big Red Go

The "Patriot Act"? How about the "Military Commissions Act"? The President just signed it today. Now the government can label anyone a "terrorist" arrest them, torture them, put them in prison without a civil trial or the right to face their accusers or even see the evidence against them. Also part of this new law gives the president the ability to pardon anyone, including himself, war war crimes prosecution.
They not only favor it...they did it! CAREFUL a squeaky wheel may get tortured and imprisoned now.

100% Yes.
Bush is the leader of the Theocracy of the United States of America which has it's very own constitution called the Bible so if anybody messes with Bush or the Bible they are messing with God so they have to be put in jail.
Amen

This new patriot act passed by congress and signed by the president has the potential to be just that. They now have the right to come into your house without warrant and take you away to a secret prison and torture you. They can hold you indefinitely without benefit of council. It is a real scary moment in American history and one can only wonder what will be next. We as a nation need to send a message to Bush and the now repuglican majority that this is just not right. We need to vote democrats into a majority of one or both of the houses in order to restore Checks and Balance to the government.

Oh My God you are a classic....
Your question asks if ?republicans favor laws that would imprison *ALL* who disagree with the President?
Your links though provide no proof that anyone went to jail for disagreeing with the president.. Please provide a link that shows someone being in prison for disagreeing with the President.. 50% of the people on here openly criticize and disagree with the President how many of them went to jail??? I can't recall any of hollywood even being arrested for disagreeing with the president.. I disagree with the president on certain matters and I have never been arrested..
can you provide proof?? Now if you say the patriot act which your links goes into detail about, you are misleading.... The patriot act is to look for terrorists.. not some one who robbed a 7/11 or even disagrees with bush.. there is plenty of Bush bashing in the open public that you don't need a patriot act or wire tappings....
Now yes terrorists are against Bush that is correct so in that line of thinking that Bush wants to imprison terrorists because they disagree with them, well then you are right on a technicality...
However Washington killed people who didn't agree with him, (Revolution) , Lincoln killed Americans (Civil War) Wilson killed Germans ( WWI) FDR killed germans too ( WWII) none of those countries agreed with us.. and those are considered great presidents....
