was George Washington the first president? I personally believe he was, but there are other scholars who feel that the like 13 or 17 men who were in charge before the constitution was ratified were the actual presidents. Another thing is the Bay of Pigs incident. Did they really get slaughtered because the Cubans found out on their own, or was it a political ploy by us, leaking the information to try to get backing for sanctions and possible war against Cuba. And how about recent events, like attacking Iraq for no reason? I was there, and let me tell you, there was not a damn reason to be, other than rolling around and getting shot at and blown up. i am permanently disabled now, fighting in a war that had no justification.

Just a few thoughts, hope you get your paper done!

The notion of rounding up Native Americans/forced marches to reservations amounted to genocide; Practise of slavery after the rest of the western world had abolished it; then Segregation; Jailing of women who demonstrated/protested in campaigning to get the vote/equal rights amendment issues; The richest nation in the western world ranks 37th in health care because there's no national system. The only place on earth where people lose their homes to pay for medical treatment; ... then having the nerve to preach to other countries about "human rights".
