I was actually watching the show on telly and was in kinks of laughter - then it went to the adverts and I thought it was a bit odd bringing on ads so soon after the last ones.

I felt quite sad but relieved that I had a laugh - as that is how he wanted to go.

He was in the middle of a trick and slumped.

It was live and I would be surprised if you could get the video - unless someone out there recorded it and will let you have it!

Death while on the air
On April 15, 1984, Tommy Cooper collapsed from a massive heart attack in front of millions of television viewers, midway through his act, on the popular ITV variety show, Live from Her Majesty's. Most of the audience thought it was part of his act and were laughing, until it became apparent that he was seriously ill. He was pronounced dead on arrival at nearby Charing Cross hospital. He was survived by his wife, Gwen (whom he always called 'Dove'), and two children, Thomas and Vicky. Thomas died just four years later from cirrhosis of the liver.

Try looking on youtube, there may be a vid there. x
I remember watching it on telly. Quite surreal now knowing you watched a man die........strange :-(

I remember seeing it live, most people thought that it was part of the act. He just fell on the floor on the stage and that was it, after a few minutes a curtain was pulled in front of him. Don't think that he died on stage but he did die that night. It was quite said really in hindsight. try google or yahoo videos or maybe even youtube may have it as they have some very strange things on there, Good luck with it, it must be on the net somewhere.

You don't actually see him die y'know!

I saw it live and he just collapses on the stage, sort of slumped to the ground.

I can't see why you'd want to remember such a great man this way and i wish i'd not been watching the show.
It's a bit like seeing a family member just before they die where you'd rather remember them when they are well.

Your bound to get some grief for asking this but everybody has a facination with morbid things to an extent and we all have to die sometime.

Sorry i can`t help with your question, but i can help with your spelling. Why don`t you use the spellcheck function. There is no point in being able to type fast if you make such a hash of the spelling.Use it ,it only takes seconds.
