I'm 26 weeks too, and I'm going trhough that myself. I'm having a baby girl and sometimes she will kick nonstopping, sometimes like yesterday and today she's very still, I have felt her but not as hard and as many as usual...I've been very active these last 2 days so sometimes that activity rocks them to sleep , and when you are resting you'll fell them more. Unfortunately, that's a pattern babies keep even after born....lol

If this is your first pregnancy it might be harder to tell when the baby is moving sometimes. At 26 weeks it is not nearly as noticable as at 30 or even 35 weeks. The kicks will get stronger which can maybe be uncomfortable at times but at least it reasures you that your baby is okay. But being a first time mom it is scary and you never know what to expect. Call your doctor whenever you are worried about anything. I DID! But that is there job right! Good luck to you.
P.S. If you want to try and feel the baby move... lie on your back for a little and put some music up to your stomach. Usually I didnt even need the music. But it might stimulate the baby and reasure that he or she is still there and okay! I also heard putting a light to your stomach but I never tried that.

There really is no 'normal' for fetal movement. You can try to get the baby to be active by drinking a glass of orange juice and laying on your side for about a half hour, turn to the other side for another half hour if you don't feel the movement. Still, if you don't feel the movment try not to be concerned. Either the baby has found a very comfotable spot and isn't going to give it up or you just aren't feeling every move the baby makes. If you are still worried contact the doctor.

Normal totally. I started to keep a mental note of when I felt the baby so if it ever went too long I wuold have a rough idea of the last time I felt it. Then I wouldn't be second guessing myself as to how long it had been. One time it was like 12 hours that I didnt' feel a thing, so I went in to get some test (can't remember the name) and they heard the baby moving even when I couldn't feel it. It depends on the position. The baby was moving like mad (you can hear it too) and I felt NOTHING so just becasue you don't feel it doesn't mean it isn't moving.

Ya pretty normal but if you go like three days without movement then go to your doc right away, but otherwise if you want to feel him move then you can poke at your tummy a bit and they might poke back I am 21 weeks and I do that cause she is always active but there can be a day that goes by and I wont feel or notice at all so I will poke my tummy or lay on my back and I will feel a small movement, babies sleep allot in you so he could just be sleeping or very comfy.

I had the same concern during my pregnancy.I did actually go to the hospital once to check it out. My baby was always kicking me and doing what felt like crazy gymnastics inside the womb. This usually took place at bedtime or after I had ate/drank something in paticular. There was a time though where I hadn't recalled feeling him in a 36 hour period so I called the doctor.Never feel silly or stupid about calling the doc.I was a first time mom at the time and people always told me ..oh it's just those first time jitters where you worry about everything. I went to the hospital and everything was ok, but I would have never been able to forgive myself if I had ignored it and something was wrong. Like alot a people have told you...sometimes the baby is active, other times..not so much.Still, if you ever feel doubtful call your doctor.

Its normal, remember they are human, and some days adults, children and babies are just tired and want to relax. So they are less active that day. Mine would move like a wild monkey at that stage and then somedays I would have to wiggle my belly to get him to move. Make sure you talk to you doc. about it for some reassurance, as long as you can count 10 sets of movements in one hour nothing is wrong. If you dont count 10 in one hour get some cold water or something sugary..like coolaid and then drink it. That should get him/her pumping..lol. If the doc. hasnt worried you shouldnt be, I know its hard but everything will be okay. Remember the coolaid idea though, it really works..I have used it a ton to get my boy moving when I would get worried. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope that everything works out well for you!

Is this your first baby? Yes it is normal for sometimes to feel less than other times. he is not that big right now to really get any good kicks it. Just wait soon he will be moving all the time, esspecially at night when you are trying to sleep. Ha. Anyway good luck.
