Mama by Boyz II Men is good, like you said...
The Backstreet Boys also have a great one called The Perfect Fan:
It takes a lot to know what is love
Its not the big things, but the little things
That can mean enough
A lot of prayers to get me through
And there is never a day that passes by
I dont think of you
You were always there for me
Pushing me and guiding me
Always to succeed
Chorus
You showed me
When I was young just how to grow
You showed me
Everything that I should know
You showed me
Just how to walk without your hands
cause mom you always were
The perfect fan
God has been so good
Blessing me with a family
Who did all they could
And Ive had many years of grace
And it flatters me when I see a smile on your face
I wanna thank you for what youve done
In hopes I can give back to you
And be the perfect son
Chorus
You showed me how to love
You showed me how to care
And you showed me that you would
Always be there
I wanna thank you for that time
And Im proud to say youre mine
Chorus
cause mom you always were,
Mom you always were
Mom you always were,
You know you always were
cause mom you always were... the perfect fan
I love you mom

There's a song called "Song for My Son", a woman from Massachusetts wrote it for her son when he was getting married a few years ago, because there wasn't anything else out there for songs. Her name is Mikki Viereck. Here are the lyrics...it really is beautiful. If all else fails, you can use Bette Midler's Wind Beneath My Wings. That is so nice too.
I don't know where
The time has gone
Since those little boy days
Doesn't seem that long
Yet here you are
It's your wedding day
And there's one thing darling
I'd like to say...
Be kind, be sweet
Be a gentle man
Care and share
And always be fair
And remember though you now
Have taken a wife
You will always be my son
My Loving son
You filled my life
With so much joy
As I watched you grow
From that little boy
Now I'll try not to cry
As you walk away
And just once more darling
I'd like to say...
Be kind, be sweet
Be a gentle man
Care and share
And always be fair
And remember though you now
Have taken a wife
You will always be my son
My Loving son

When I read your question that's the song that came to mind, and I think is very appropriate for the ocassion. The only mother and son song I can think of is Dear Mama-Tupac, LOL, but that's not appropraite for a wedding...
