Unless her doctor tells her otherwise, a pregnant woman can have sex until her water breaks! As for positions, pregnancy makes creativity necessary. What my husband and I enjoyed while I was pregnant, might be difficult or not enjoyable for another couple. Experiment, be creative. You will come across positions that are comfortable and enjoyable for both partners.
Good luck.

With both of my children I experienced sex with my husband, and when my belly grew bigger I found it to be more comfortable in the (sorry, for lack of the proper term) "doggy style" position. I also found laying on my side or "spooning" was comfortable and my husband enjoyed it too. I believe the medical professionals say it is safe to enjoy sex up till your ninth month as long as it is comfortable for you and he wears a condom. Sperm, and orgasms can stimulate contractions which could inherently send you into labor. Honey, if your still interested in sex at 9 months I say go for it. As for me, one last time is all I needed to convince an overdue baby, mom wanted her body back!

My Ob said it's fine to lay on your back until 20weeks & beyond, after then the weight of the baby etc can press on the vein that returns the blood flow to you & your baby, if you start to feel feint while laying on your back it's time to turn over onto your side (left is a little better than right). What I do to stop from rolling onto my back while I'm sleeping is to lay on my side then wedge a pillow behind me so if I do roll over I'm kinda lop sided & again my Ob says this is enough to take the pressure off the vein. I've had numerous discussions with my Ob, midwife & GP about this issue as I'm angry at the Doctors for putting this fear into us pregnant women & causing stress during the nights & wonder where on earth this came from as women only ten years ago were never told this. Women in third world countries, women 10years ago to thousands of years ago never worried about this. My Doctors all say not to worry about it, no baby has ever died from a woman sleeping on their back & that it's come more from litigation & the Doctors trying to cover themselves than anything else (as has most of the other over the top new 'rules'). Of course, I still err on the side of caution & don't purposely sleep on my back but if I wake up on my back there is no need to worry, just roll over & get your much needed sleep!

My hus and I had sex the night before I went into labor LOL. You just have to be more careful the last couple of months and not let him ahem... go in to deep. and it's not so comfy with him on top but there are many other positions you could use.

Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I'm going to college to be a OB-GYN, so I deal with this kinda stuff! To tell you the truth, I'm pregnant with my 2nd kid! I never quit doing it! Its not good for a guy to ejaculate in you the first few months, because it's not very good for the baby. It's ok to still do it though, just use protection for a bit. I know that sounds stupid but it's really not. The sperm isn't good for the baby since it's in you. Everything you do, eat, smoke, drink soda, etc..whatever goes straight to your baby, so remember that. It'll be alright when your about 4-5 months, because the baby is developed enough by then. It's just the first 4-5 months is the greatest time for misscarriages and stuff, so be careful. Thanks!

My midwife says as long as their are no signs or risk of pre-term labor it's fairly safe to have sex all the way through pregnancy. Just not after your water breaks! I had sex with my first daughter all the time when i was preggo. I loved it. I had sex the day before i went into labor 1 week before my due date. This time around my drive is much lower.

As long as the dr hasn't given you any restrictions you can do it all the way up until your water breaks. The best position is the side lying with rear entry. Not in the butt. That way he isn't putting any pressure on your belly and you don't have to try to hold yourself up. Good luck,

You can have sex until it's time to have the baby. It really depends on you (how you feel emationally & physically) and your baby where he/she is located in your body(low / high).
Good position, you riding on top then you are in control and determine the speed and pressure you feel and from behind (doggy style) let him do some work and it will be from a different angle.

until you are due. I dont know how true it is but they say if you have sex the day you are in labor or the day prior your delivery is easier because you are lubed up. The best position depends on you. On my back went well because on top i had to use to many muscles and it hurt.

You can have sex all the way up until your water breaks unless told not to by your doctor. positions after your first trimester you aren't suppose to be laying on your back or having you partner lay directly on your belly, try being on top or both sitting up straddling him there lots of ways but if it is uncomfortable or hurting you then don't do it like that.
