so my doctor increased it to 150mgs. I am on CD11, has anyone had success with ovulation on this high of a dose? serious answers only

I have tried 50, 100, 150, and 250 and only ovulated on 250 and not consistantly. You may want to do some research on the drug femara as it helps some women who don't respond to clomid.

I got pregnant my first time on Clomid/50mg. Unfortunately, I miscarried. It took 8 months to conceive again on Clomid. I started at 50mg., but by the time I conceived I was up to 200mg. My OB gradually increased the dosage because I didn't ovulate regularly. During the 5th month, my OB also prescribed HCG injections, which I had on days 14 & 21 of my cycle. This is also supposed to aid in ovulation.
I am ttc again. I'm on my 4th round of Clomid and HCG injections. I have been ovulating, so I'm still at 50mg. My OB is going to have me get the injections on days 12 & 19 this time instead of 14 & 21 because I have been ovulating around day 13.
HCG injections are Novarel, Pregnyl, and Profasi. They come in 10,000 units each. I get one 10000 unit injection on day 12 and one 5000 unit injection on day 19. These injections run about $45 per 10000 units at Costco. I highly recommend Costco for fertility drugs. You don't have to be a member to get prescriptions filled there and they have the best prices. You can check out the price of any prescription on their web-site costco.com.
You might ask your OB about the hcg injections if you find you don't ovulate on the Clomid alone this month.

My girlfriend had a very high dose like you and she did conceive and has a beautiful little girl that is 2 years old today. She had alot of things against her one big thing was her age she was 38 years old and with her age they started her off at 150mgs. She had a very good specialist and that help her. Stay positive and don't worry if possible and listen to your specialist. I wish you luck.

I ovulate on 100mg. got preg but m/c at 8 weeks. now on 4th round. have they spoke to you about ovulation ultrasounds and the HCG trigger shot. IF you follicles are mature enough then they can give you the HCG shot to make you ovulate.

i dont think the clomid worked for me either. my dr changed me to a injectable fertility drug it was like over one thousand dollars for a 4 day dose. and it worked for me. i will try to find out what the name of it was. now i am 15 wks pg. good luck. i will get back to you on the name of that drug.

100mg of Clomid worked for me. I have a beautiful 8 month old to prove it.
