I semm to like modern songs more than old ones.

What about Artict Monkeys ..since u said u r more into new stuff ?? When the sun goes down is a really nice song with grt beats... and have u tried Red Hot Chilli Peppers ??? i know they are a bit funky along with the rock sound.. but grt stuff man !!

in vintage music , for good tunes , i would definately recommend Sappy-Nirvana , Black -Pearl Jam , Enstranged - Guns n roses.......... etc.

There's no point in asking this really because everyone is just going to list their own favourite songs. There's nothing wrong with that but you'll never get a definitive answer either. For example, to some people, rock is Metallica and to others it's even something as lame as Coldplay.

There are hundreds and thousands - newer ones include Empire by Kasabien, anything by the Killers, Voodoo Child - Rogue Traders. Arctic Monkeys. Try Orson for more american style rock with catchy tunes.

I don't know whether this is really rock but "Accidentally in Love" by the Counting Crows is really good. Most people know it from Shriek...
Also I like "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Areosmith, but I have a very strange taste in music, I like anything.

I think "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet has an awesome melody and a lot of cool guitar bits. Or you should check out "New Slang" by the Shins, which is very melodic and has a hummable tune.
