-How is the company set up? Teams? Departments?
-Who would I be working under?
-Do you offer/require overtime/weekends?
-Is there opportunity to travel?
-What would my responsibilities be when I start? How do I earn/gain more responsibilites? (i.e. "climb the ladder")
-If it is in another state/far from you, be sure you ask about relocating. They expect you to inquire!
-What are the hours?
-What benefits do you offer your employees?
-Are you involved with the community/local universities?
-Would I be working with coworkers, independently, with customers/clients? This you might already know based upon the job description, but not always.
-What are you looking for for this position?
-Is there anything that would prevent me from aquiring this position? (If you desire to ask this, or if they have already answered any questions you came in with.)
-Try to research the company beforehand. Ask about their current projects or one that caught your eye.
If you know anyone who is in charge of hiring at any place, ask them what they expect interviewees to ask. You might want to ask for a practice interview. That's what I did!! Good luck!

Natty we probably read the same blog where this question was mentioned....
"Where do you see the company heading in the next few years?
Anyway ... another question you can ask is ... What would you expect to see from the candidate within the first 2-3 months?
The answer to this question will paint a picture of the path you might want to take. Plus you'll know exactly what they want and what they expect.

Do your research on the company, then ask a question which shows that you did this research. You personally don't have to actually care about the answer, as long as it is a reasonable question which shows you are knowledgable. Make sure you pay attention though. Maybe ask about the company culture, or ask your interviewer why they chose to work for the company or about their career.

Ask any question that would pertain to the job and the company. If the interviewer doesn't tell you the starting salary, asked that as the last question.
Mainly show him/her you are truly interested in the company and job.

One question I asked that my employeer (I got the job!) seemed to like was, "Where do you see the company heading in the next few years?" I also asked about benefits, their continuing education program, and opportunities for advancement.

Is there room for advancement?
Do you advance within the company?
You need to do some type of investigation of the company so you will know what type of questions to ask?
